More Than Just A Photo - Hip List 2010

Glad to announce that Alextan Art Works will be featured in The Hip List 2010 Magazine " The Art Of Malaysia Wedding Photographers " For those who have no idea what is HIP LIST is you can always refer to THE HIP LIST for more information.

Never though before my work would be list in HIP LIST , really glad that i have a chance to share my artworks through here :) Getting excited and looking forward for the 1st issue in coming Sept !!!!!!

Suesan | I Love Rain

I manage to knew this lovely girl through my girl friend as they are both colleague, i haven't got a chance to meet up her in person only through msn and facebook chat.

We manage to discuss and shoot her portrait over a night and we shoot immediately next morning after a long night party :D

We don't have a theme to shoot , not even select any place to shoot also , the weather was good initially but turned bad after our lunch break and we decided to shoot under the heavy rain. The shot took us about 15 minutes to complete the " I Love Rain" series :)

Special thanks to the lovely umbrella from suesan and of cause my lovely girl friend hold the umbrella for me make sure that im not wet :P and of cause not to forget to thank my bei bei for the make up done for suesan :D

Art De Mariée De Plage

Danielle Khor, Penang top model , gave me an awesome chance to shoot a couple portrait for their memory. This is the first time I meet her in person, to my surprise she is really friendly and co-operative! A sincere thanks to HY who participated in the shoot out and the venue arrangement. Special thanks to Angela Kang who provided fantastic make up for Danielle, it was simply fabulous, THANK YOU !!

The weather was rather worrying in the morning as the could was showing sign of rain, with dark could and strong wind when we arrive at the beach. We were really freaking out during the preparation, however, to my pleasant surprise, the weather gave me some really wonderful shots!

Workshop - Charity for cause JCI United Penang + Lexiv Photography

14-11-2009 the first workshop Lexiv Photography ( Me + Vin ) joint venture with JCI United Penang to hold a workshop for all the shutterbug who wanted to learn some basic photo composition & some sharing session. The main objective of this event was actually to raise fund for the charity of JCI United Penang.

We started with a small presentation sharing a some photography theory by Vin and i came in with sharing some of my photos for the participants .Last but not least, the Q&A session put a perfect fullstop for the entire presentation

Immediately after our lunch we made a move to our first shooting location.Thanks for all the models for the big help and really appreciate them to sacrifice themselves under the hot sun, especially the 2pm shooting session at "chew jetty".On that day itself, I wasnt really involving in the photo shooting session as I spent most of my time to share and guide the participants. Well of course I still have some shots of the day to share it out.

Portraiture Outing By 槟城佳礼好摄团

I'm a CARI Forummer since back in 2002 and i've login the forum for more than 5 years as i've been inactive from the forum since i started to work. Recently met up with Mike and he is actually the new founder of one of the photography group in CARI forum called "槟城佳礼好摄团". I was invited to join the group portraiture outing and all the models of the day are actually my colleague from bank :D Well i was not actually into shooting model as i was just having some fun to fill up my time :P as it's hard to shoot when th group is too big. Well i guess i still have some shots of the day , please feel free to comment if you like them ! :D

Denise | Day In Penang

Denise a young girl from KL , initially came to penang for weekend trip and Vin manage to arrange meet for a short portraits session since this is her first time coming to Penang. We brought them a for a short "heritage visit" at Georgetown area :P as usual the weather was hot even in the morning. This is also the first time Denise shooting portraits and she was quite shy , lucky we have her bf there and her friends as well. She managed to relax herself after a few shots and plenty of dirty jokes by us :P hehe well here are some of my highlights of the day ! personally love it so much as this is the first time i shot with my brand new canon 5d :) yummy!!!!
